I wish i could say was a good day...but, once again, it was a crappy day with some highlights of wanting to be a good day, but could never quite get there. Trying to do activities...correction..trying to do ANYTHING with kids is like kicking a dead mule, you can try, but it ain't gonna turn out good in the end.
Lesson 2,345: Never think it's a good family activity to do a gingerbread house...with toddlers...it's messy, and tough as crap to put together, then when it's get to the point where the kids decorate...it falls apart in two seconds....thank god for frosting huh?
Lesson 2,346: Never strive for the "Norman Rockwell moments" but yet strive to just "make it out alive moment" when trying to plan a perfect holiday day. Norman Rockwell life does not exist, no matter how much you try, your not from the 50's, and there's a reason for that.
Lesson 2,347: Always end your dysfunctional night with a nice cold glass of egg nogg (preferably the adult kind) but, if not available, regular is just as good...egg nogg has gotten me through some tough times...no really...it has...
Well, I've learned alot about myself, and I've learned it's better to make cookies...then to create an entire friggin house out of cookies...happy thanksgiving everyone!!! (insert Charlie brown chorus of loo loo's) :)
